Our journey begins with a free 20-30 minute initial consultation. This is a relaxed and informal chat where we can explore what brings you to counselling, and you can ask any questions you may have. It’s an opportunity for us to get a sense of whether we’re the right fit for working together. There’s no pressure to commit at this stage—it’s simply about starting the conversation. If you feel ready, you can book your initial consultation today by clicking the button below.
My counselling approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, which means we explore how your past experiences shape your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I also work in a pluralistic way, combining person-centred, cognitive behavioural and mindfulness/meditation approaches to suit your unique needs. This collaborative and flexible way of working ensures that each session is tailored to what works best for you.
For some, counselling might involve uncovering and understanding longstanding patterns or unresolved emotions. For others, it might focus on developing practical tools and strategies to manage life’s challenges. As a trained meditation teacher, I can incorporate mindfulness and meditation techniques into our sessions when it feels helpful for you. These tools can bring a sense of calm and clarity, especially during moments of overwhelm.
Whatever your needs, I’ll provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore, heal, and grow.
I offer counselling sessions online and by telephone, making it easier for you to access support wherever you are. Online counselling is convenient and flexible, allowing you to work from the comfort and privacy of your own home. For some people, this setting helps them feel more relaxed and able to open up. Online counselling is also particularly beneficial for those with busy schedules, limited mobility, or anyone who simply feels more at ease in their own environment.
Whatever format you choose, I ensure the same level of care, attention, and professionalism to help you feel supported and understood.
I work with a range of issues, but my specialities include trauma recovery and supporting adult survivors of adverse childhood experiences. If you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, or challenges in your relationships—whether with others or yourself—counselling can provide a space to work through these difficulties and find ways forward. I have an interest in and have undergone training in working from a neuro-affirming perspective with people living with ADHD whether diagnosed or not.
Whether it’s addressing patterns from the past or finding peace in the present, I’m here to help.
Beyond these specialities, I also support clients with self-esteem, self-awareness, and navigating life transitions, the unique issues of boarding school survivors and many others. Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a compassionate, tailored approach to help you on your journey.
Thank you for reaching out. Taking the first step towards counselling is a courageous decision, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
